With the recent release of WebAPP version 0.9.9.6, there is an urgency to upgrade as soon as possible for those who have not. This major security release is to patch some previously unknown security vulnerabilities that have existed for a long time, and news about it has recently been spread all over the web through news articles and other postings by someone who thought the world should know this before we had any security patches in place. Also the security sites have been alerted to this matter.

Old sites that have put off upgrading all this time along with any sites running versions earlier than 0.9.9.6 are urged to understand the immediacy of this need to be using a current version at all times. We have not and will not for as long as issues exist ever release a version that does not contain bug fixes and/or security improvements. Therefore there is always good reason to upgrade to the newest version both for the sake of your site and for those other people who reside on the same server if you have shared hosting. WebAPP cannot overstress the need to keep updated.

There is more information about the recent security vulnerability that was found but has not yet been released in order to protect the websites of our members until they get a chance to get upgraded. That information will be released before long and will appear in your security and updates report window in your WebAPP website's Administrator Control Panel. Please be advised that all will have access to this information and that some will try to exploit the information contained therein.

So please, please, upgrade your sites as soon as possible.
