Welcome to the Web-APP community, home of the WebAPP (Web Automated Perl Portal) system. The Web-APP Community provides support for WebAPP users and contributes towards development of this popular Open Source Perl web portal and content management system.

The Web-APP project was started in 2001 by Carter Brown. For a brief history of the project, please feel welcome to visit our History of WebAPP Web Automated Perl Portal page. A timeline view of the Web-APP site may be browsed via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.

In our support forums, along with WebAPP script support, you will also find discussions about ongoing development plans and progress. Fixes for any issues found in the currently distributed version are posted in the Current Bug Fixes topic of the forums. Also please see the Support Docs section for more information on the basics of operation for the WebAPP system. Before posting in the forums, please visit our Code of Conduct page for some guidelines on acceptable content for this site.

Not sure if anyone has noticed it or not but we have a few new UBBC tags for forums and articles in the new version. These include font face, font size, and horizontal rule.

WebAPP has released install packages for full install and upgrades from 0.9.9.8 to the next version of WebAPP, v0.9.9.9. This is for public testing to find any last problems or bugs before making the official release in the downloads.
